THE GREAT HEALTHY YARD PROJECT MATTERS IN CITIES, TOO

City greenery uses huge amounts of chemicals-the plants around the buildings, on terraces, and even house plants. Also, it would hopefully mean that you would think about what is being put on your local park, and your or your neighbor’s weekend home. Part of the pledge is not to dispose of pharmaceuticals or chemicals down our drains, and that is very pertinent in a city where huge numbers of people have a big impact.

Take The Pledge

I pledge to take care of my yard without synthetic pesticides, weedkillers and fertilizers except on rare occasions to resolve an infestation or to improve habitat for native plants and wildlife.

I also pledge not to throw pharmaceuticals or chemicals down my drains or toilets.
